How Word Bomb 2: Voyage handles local gameplay, Apple services, advertising and support messages.

Last updated: 25 October 2026

Who is responsible

Word Bomb 2: Voyage is developed by Matthew Holdsworth. This policy applies to Voyage, its TestFlight builds and its website. It does not describe the original Word Bomb app. Contact support@wordbomb.app with privacy questions or requests.

Gameplay stored on your device

Voyage stores solo progress, scores, unfinished sessions, local replays, discovered words and settings on your device. Newer builds also keep on-device aggregate ad activity, timing and estimated ad amounts to limit interruptions and evaluate placements; demo and real amounts remain separate. These local counters are cleared with Delete local progress and are not uploaded to a developer analytics service. The developer does not operate a Voyage account database, cloud-save service or gameplay analytics backend. Local data remains until it is overwritten during play, you reset local progress, or the app and its data are removed. Device backups are governed by your Apple settings.

Apple services

If you use Game Center, Apple manages your player identity and its online services. Game Center features can exchange scores, achievements and match data. A match can include turn inputs or replays for score validation with the opponent. Apple processes in-app purchases and purchase restoration; the app checks verified entitlements and does not receive your payment-card details. Apple and TestFlight may provide diagnostic or beta feedback information under your Apple settings and Apple’s policies.

Advertising and consent

Voyage includes Google Mobile Ads and Google’s User Messaging Platform for ad consent. Public release builds use Voyage’s production ad units; development builds use test identifiers. Test-device traffic is kept separate from earned-revenue figures. The SDK may process an IP address, approximate location inferred from the network, device identifiers, advertising interactions, diagnostics and performance information. Requesting non-personalized ads does not mean no data is processed. The app requests non-personalized ads, does not request cross-app tracking permission, and checks consent eligibility before requesting an ad. Privacy options appear in the app when Google requires them for your region. Ads being unavailable does not prevent solo play. Google controls ad availability and serving approval. Sponsor blocks appear in the Harbor and Journey; interstitials can appear after completed islands and solved Word Hunt words, with a grace period and cooldown. An optional rewarded ad can provide two letter skips. Remove Ads suppresses all these placements and offers.

Support messages and website

If you contact support, your email address, message and any attachment you choose to send are used to respond and investigate the issue. Do not send passwords, payment details or unnecessary personal information. Support mail is routed by Cloudflare Email Routing and handled through Gmail. Word Book searches are processed in your browser and are not sent to the developer. The website uses Vercel hosting and ordinary technical request information; it adds no visitor analytics script, ad tracker or account registration. Messages are kept as needed to handle the request and related follow-up; contact support to request deletion.

Your choices and requests

Use Settings to delete local progress, change sound and haptics, select your language and theme, and open ad privacy choices when available. Deleting local progress does not erase Apple’s Game Center information or purchase history. Manage those through Apple. Depending on your location, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing of personal information. Email support to make a request; identify the service involved without sending sensitive documents. We cannot recover local-only gameplay from a developer server because there is no such server.

Providers, retention and changes

Apple, Google, Cloudflare, Gmail and Vercel process information under their own policies and retention practices and may process it in different countries. The developer does not sell personal information. When services or data practices change, this page will be updated. The date below identifies this version.
